How can we help?

Everything you need to know about TuBoost, from getting started to advanced features. Can't find what you need? Contact us.

Getting Started

Creating your account

Signing up for TuBoost is completely free and takes less than a minute. Head to the Sign Up page and choose your account type:

  • Creator: designed for individual content creators, streamers, YouTubers, and podcasters. You'll choose a unique username (lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores only, minimum 3 characters) that identifies your profile across the platform.
  • Business: built for agencies, production companies, and brands managing multiple channels or clients. You'll enter your company name (minimum 2 characters).

Both account types have access to the same features. The distinction helps us tailor the experience and communication to your needs.

Password requirements

Your password must meet all of the following criteria:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • At least one uppercase letter (A–Z)
  • At least one number (0–9)
  • At least one special character (!@#$%^&* etc.)

These same rules apply when changing or resetting your password later.

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Before creating your account, you must read and accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy by checking the required checkbox on the signup form. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp to comply with GDPR regulations.

Free credits on signup

🎁 Every new account automatically receives 10 free credits, no payment information required. These credits never expire, so you can take your time exploring the platform before deciding to purchase more.

Verifying your email

After completing the signup form, you'll be redirected to a verification screen and receive an email with a confirmation link. Click the link to activate your account. A few important details:

  • The verification link is valid for 24 hours. After that, it expires automatically.
  • If the link expires, you can request a new one by clicking "Resend verification email" on the verification page.
  • You cannot log in until your email is verified.
  • Check your spam/junk folder if you don't see the email within a few minutes.

Welcome email and promo code

Once your email is verified, you'll receive a Welcome Email containing:

  • A quick overview of what you can do with TuBoost
  • A direct link to your dashboard
  • An exclusive promo code: WELCOME30, which gives you 30% off your first credit pack purchase. You can apply it at Stripe checkout.

Referral bonus at signup

If you signed up using a friend's referral link, you'll automatically receive 15 bonus credits on top of your 10 free credits as soon as you verify your email. That's 25 credits to start with, completely free. See the Referral Program section for more details.

Login & Security

Logging in

Go to the Login page and enter your email and password. If your credentials are correct and your email has been verified, you'll be redirected to the dashboard immediately.

Failed login attempts

For security purposes, TuBoost enforces a rate limit on login attempts. After 3 consecutive failed attempts for the same email, further login attempts are blocked for 15 minutes. This protects your account from brute-force attacks. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or use the password reset flow if you've forgotten your credentials.

Two-Factor Authentication (MFA)

TuBoost supports TOTP-based two-factor authentication (Time-based One-Time Password). This works with any standard authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password.

When MFA is enabled, after entering your email and password you'll be prompted for a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds in your authenticator app. You cannot access your account without this code.

Enabling MFA

  1. Go to Dashboard β†’ Account β†’ Security.
  2. Click "Enable MFA".
  3. A QR code will appear on screen. Scan it with your authenticator app (or manually copy the secret key if you prefer).
  4. Enter the 6-digit code shown in your app to confirm the setup.
  5. MFA is now active on your account. You'll need the code on every future login.
πŸ”’ We strongly recommend enabling MFA, especially if your account holds purchased credits. It adds a critical layer of security that prevents unauthorized access even if your password is compromised.

Disabling MFA

If you need to turn off MFA, go to Account β†’ Security and click "Disable MFA". You'll be asked to enter a valid 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm. After disabling, login will only require email and password.

Resetting your password

  1. On the login page, click "Forgot password?".
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  3. You'll receive an email with a secure reset link (valid for 1 hour).
  4. Click the link and enter your new password (same strength requirements as signup).
  5. Once reset, you can log in with your new password immediately.

For security, the reset email is always sent regardless of whether the email exists in our system. This prevents attackers from discovering which emails are registered.

Uploading Videos

How to upload a video

Navigate to Dashboard β†’ Create Clips. You'll see a large upload area where you can either drag and drop your video file, or click to open your system's file browser.

Once you select a file, TuBoost uploads it directly and securely to our cloud storage using a pre-signed URL. A real-time progress bar shows the upload percentage. Do not close the browser tab during upload, as this will interrupt the transfer.

Supported formats and limits

  • Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WEBM
  • Maximum file size: 2 GB per video
  • Upload limit: one file at a time. You must wait for the current upload to complete before starting another.

If your video is in a different format, we recommend converting it to MP4 before uploading. Most video editing software and free online tools support MP4 export.

Import from URL

Instead of uploading a file from your device, you can import a video directly from an external URL. Switch to the "Import from URL" tab on the Create Clips page, paste the link, and click "Import Video".

TuBoost will download the video on our servers, so you don't need to download it yourself first. Once the download completes, the video is automatically analyzed, just like a manual upload.

🌐 Supported platforms: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, Vimeo, and Loom. The same 2 GB file size limit applies. The video title is automatically detected and displayed in your queue.

After importing, the video status will show Downloading while we fetch the file, then it transitions through the standard analysis pipeline.

What happens after upload

As soon as your video finishes uploading (or downloading from a URL), TuBoost's AI automatically starts analyzing it. No manual action is required. The video status will progress through:

  1. Downloading: (URL imports only) the video is being fetched from the external platform.
  2. Queued: your video is waiting in line to be processed.
  3. Analyzing: the AI is actively scanning your video for engaging moments.
  4. Analyzed: analysis is complete, and detected moments are ready for review.

Only one analysis runs at a time per account. If you upload multiple videos quickly, they'll be processed sequentially.

Language support

TuBoost's transcription engine automatically detects the language spoken in your video and generates accurate subtitles. We support 99 languages out of the box, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and many more. No manual language selection is required β€” the AI handles it all.

Automatic video type detection

During analysis, TuBoost's AI automatically classifies your video into one of 9 content categories. This classification determines which extraction strategy is used to find the best moments, ensuring clips are optimized for your specific type of content.

  • Podcast: conversations, interviews, discussions β€” extracts Q&A exchanges, memorable quotes, and compelling stories.
  • Vlog: personal storytelling, travel, daily life β€” finds emotional reactions, reveals, and authentic moments.
  • Tutorial: how-to, coding, cooking, DIY β€” identifies key tips, step-by-step highlights, and pro tricks.
  • Educational: lectures, documentaries, explanations β€” extracts fascinating insights, powerful analogies, and mind-blowing facts.
  • Motivational: inspirational speeches, self-improvement β€” finds emotional peaks, powerful quotes, and call-to-action moments.
  • Presentation: keynotes, TED talks, business presentations β€” highlights key insights, frameworks, and impactful conclusions.
  • Entertainment: gaming, reactions, comedy, challenges β€” captures highlights, funny moments, and dramatic twists.
  • News: commentary, opinion, current events β€” extracts strong takes, breaking analysis, and well-argued points.
  • ASMR: triggers, whispering, tapping, relaxation β€” identifies the most satisfying trigger sequences and sensory moments.
πŸ€– The detection is fully automatic β€” you don't need to specify the video type. The AI analyzes the transcript and selects the best strategy. The detected type is shown as a badge in your video queue.

Analysis notifications

When the analysis completes, you'll receive:

  • An in-app notification (bell icon in the dashboard header) with the number of moments detected.
  • An email notification (if enabled in Account β†’ Notifications) with a summary of the analysis results.

You can then review the detected moments and decide which ones to turn into clips.

Clips & Generation

Reviewing detected moments

After the AI analysis completes, go to the video detail page to see the list of detected moments. Each moment includes:

  • A title describing the moment
  • A brief description of what's happening
  • The start and end timestamps in the original video

Use the checkboxes to select which moments you want to convert into standalone clips.

Credit cost

πŸ’‘ Each selected moment costs exactly 1 credit. You can select as many moments as you want, up to the number of credits currently available in your account. If you have 12 credits and the AI found 20 moments, you can pick up to 12 of them.

Credits are deducted immediately when you click "Create Clips", not when the clips finish processing. This means the credits are reserved right away, even if the generation takes a few minutes.

Generating clips

  1. Select the moments you want by ticking their checkboxes.
  2. Click the "Create Clips" button.
  3. The video status changes to Processing. TuBoost is now extracting and encoding the selected moments.
  4. When finished, the status becomes Processed and your clips are ready.
⚑ Parallel processing: all selected clips are processed simultaneously on dedicated GPU instances. Whether you create 1 clip or 10, they all finish at roughly the same time.

If something goes wrong during processing, the status will show Failed. In that case, open a support ticket so our team can investigate.

Viewing and downloading clips

Head to Dashboard β†’ My Clips to see all your generated clips, organized by the original source video. For each clip you can:

  • Play it directly in the browser using the built-in video player
  • Download it to your device with one click
  • See the clip title, description, and duration

Clip URLs are generated on demand and valid for 1 hour. If a link expires, simply refresh the page to get a new one. Your clips are stored permanently and you can access them anytime.

FAQ: what if I'm not satisfied with a clip?

Our AI optimises for virality and engagement, but creative work is subjective. If a generated clip doesn't meet your expectations, you can regenerate or adjust it without spending additional credits. Credits are consumed once per clip generation, not on previews or retries.

Subtitle Customization

How subtitles work

When TuBoost creates a clip, it also generates a word-level transcript with precise timestamps. Instead of burning subtitles automatically, we give you full control over the style so every clip matches your brand.

🎬 Subtitles are free β€” there is no credit cost to add, edit, or re-render subtitles on your clips.

Editing subtitles on a single clip

  1. Go to Dashboard β†’ My Clips.
  2. Find the clip you want and click the edit icon button (next to Download).
  3. A full-screen editor opens with a live video preview. Click anywhere on the video to add your subtitle text.
  4. Use the Captions panel on the right to customize font, size, color, effects, and more.
  5. Drag the text to reposition it, drag the corner handles to resize, or drag the side handles to adjust text width.
  6. Click "Apply" to render. TuBoost generates a new version with burned-in subtitles while the original clip remains untouched.
  7. A success dialog appears immediately with a Download button β€” the clip preview updates instantly, no page refresh needed.

Available style options

The floating Captions toolbar on the right side of the editor gives you access to all styling options:

  • Font: Anton, Montserrat, Poppins, Roboto, Oswald, Bangers, Bebas Neue
  • Font Size: adjustable from 60 to 200 (default 140) β€” or drag a corner handle on the text to resize visually
  • Text Color: White, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Orange, Red, Pink
  • Outline Color & Width: customize the text outline for better readability
  • Shadow: adjustable shadow intensity behind the text
  • Rotation: rotate subtitles from βˆ’15Β° to +15Β°
  • Words per line: 2 to 8 words grouped per subtitle line (default 5)
  • ALL CAPS: toggle uppercase text on or off
  • Apply to All: toggle to apply the same style to every clip from the video at once

Drag & drop positioning

Position your subtitles visually instead of picking a preset:

  • Drag the text anywhere on the video to set the exact position. Smart snap guides appear at center and safe-zone boundaries to help with alignment.
  • Corner handles: drag to resize the font proportionally.
  • Side handles: drag left or right edges to control the maximum text width (20–100% of the video).
↩️ Made a mistake? Use the Undo button or delete the text entirely and start over.

Applying subtitles to all clips at once

Inside the editor, enable the "Apply to All" toggle in the Captions toolbar (below the ALL CAPS toggle). When active, clicking "Apply" renders the same style on every clip from that video in one go.

⚑ Batch rendering processes clips sequentially to ensure reliability. For a video with 5 clips, expect it to take a couple of minutes.

Re-editing subtitles

You can re-open the subtitle editor at any time and change any setting. When you click "Apply Subtitles" again, a new subtitled version replaces the previous one. Your saved style preferences are remembered, so you can fine-tune without starting from scratch.

Success dialog & downloading

After rendering completes, a success dialog appears with a Download Clip button (or Download All when using batch mode). The clip cards on the My Clips page update instantly β€” no page refresh required. You can also use the regular Download button on each card at any time to grab the latest rendered version.

Credits & Billing

What are credits?

Credits are the currency of TuBoost. Every time you generate a clip from a detected moment, it costs 1 credit. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no hidden charges. You buy credits once and use them whenever you want.

♾️ Credits never expire. Whether you use them today or in six months, they remain in your account indefinitely. There is no time pressure to spend them.

Credit packs

TuBoost offers three credit packs, each a one-time purchase (no recurring subscription):

PackPriceCreditsPer CreditSavings
⚑ Spark$9.9915$0.67β€”
πŸ”₯ Creator$54.99100$0.55Save 18%
πŸš€ Studio$89.99200$0.45Save 33%

The larger the pack, the lower the cost per credit. All prices are excluding VAT. VAT is automatically calculated at checkout based on your billing country and address.

How to purchase credits

  1. Go to Dashboard β†’ Buy Credits, or click the credit wallet badge in the header.
  2. Choose the pack that fits your needs and click the purchase button.
  3. You'll be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page.
  4. Enter your payment details, billing address, and optionally a Tax ID, Codice Fiscale, or SDI/PEC code.
  5. If you have a promo code, apply it on the Stripe page before completing payment.
  6. After successful payment, you'll be redirected back to TuBoost and your credits are added instantly.

Credit wallet

Your total credit balance is always visible in the dashboard header. Clicking on the wallet shows a detailed breakdown:

  • Free: credits received at signup (10)
  • Referral: credits earned from the referral program
  • Purchased: credits bought via credit packs or limited drops
  • Total: the sum of all available credits
⚠️ When your total credits drop below 5, TuBoost sends a "Credits Running Low" notification as a friendly reminder to top up before your next clip generation session.

Invoices and receipts

All payments are processed through Stripe. You can find your invoices and payment receipts directly in your Stripe payment confirmation email. If you need additional billing support, contact us.

Limited Drops

What are Limited Drops?

Limited Drops are special themed credit packs available for a limited time only. They feature unique themes (seasonal bundles, flash sales, holiday specials) and often come at discounted pricing compared to standard packs.

Where to find them

When a drop is active, it appears prominently on the Billing page above the standard credit packs. Each drop card displays:

  • The themed name and icon (e.g., πŸŽ„ Holiday Bundle, πŸ”₯ Summer Pack)
  • The price and number of credits included
  • The cost per credit for easy comparison
  • A live countdown timer showing exactly how much time is left before the drop expires

How to purchase a drop

Purchasing a Limited Drop works exactly like buying a standard credit pack: click the purchase button, complete checkout on Stripe, and credits are added instantly. The only difference is that drops are time-limited and disappear once they expire.

Getting notified

Whenever a new drop goes live, you'll receive an in-app notification(via the bell icon). You can click on the notification to see the drop details and purchase it directly. Make sure to act quickly, as drops are only available for a short window.

πŸ”” Don't miss out: keep an eye on your notifications when new drops launch. They are often limited-time offers that won't come back.

Referral Program

Overview

The TuBoost Referral Program lets you earn free credits by inviting friends, colleagues, and followers to join the platform. Both you and the person you invite get rewarded.

Reward structure

  • You (the referrer): receive +30 credits for every successful referral.
  • Your friend (the referee): receives +15 bonus credits on top of the standard 10 free signup credits, for a total of 25 credits to start.

There is no limit to how many people you can refer. The more friends you invite, the more credits you earn.

How it works, step by step

  1. Go to Dashboard β†’ Referral Program and activate your referral link. A unique slug based on your username or company name will be generated.
  2. Share your referral link anywhere: social media, email, messages, your website, etc.
  3. When someone clicks your link, a referral cookie is stored in their browser. This cookie lasts 30 days, so they don't need to sign up immediately.
  4. Your friend signs up for TuBoost. The referral status shows as Pending.
  5. Your friend verifies their email. At that point the referral is marked as Completedand credits are automatically added to both accounts.
  6. Both you and your friend receive an in-app notification and an email confirmationabout the bonus credits.

Tracking your referrals

The referral dashboard (Dashboard β†’ Referral Program) gives you a complete overview:

  • Friends Invited: total number of people who signed up with your link
  • Successful Signups: how many completed email verification (earning you credits)
  • Credits Earned: total referral credits you've accumulated
  • A detailed list of each invited friend with their current status (Pending or Completed)

Referral link details

Your referral link follows the format: tuboost.io?ref=your-slug. You can copy it with one click from the referral dashboard. The cookie persists for 30 days, meaning if someone clicks your link today and signs up two weeks later, you still get credited.

Notifications

Notification bell

The bell icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard header is your notification center. A badge displays the count of unread notifications. Clicking the bell opens a dropdown panel showing your most recent 20 notifications. Opening the panel automatically marks all visible notifications as read.

All notification types

TuBoost sends the following types of notifications:

  • Analysis Complete: the AI has finished analysing your uploaded video and detected moments are ready for review.

  • Clicking a Promo notification opens a modal where you can copy the promo code or save it to your dashboard for later use.
  • Other notifications with a link (e.g., Clips Ready, Purchase Confirmed) navigate you directly to the relevant page.

Email notification preferences

You can control which events also trigger an email in addition to the in-app notification. Go to Dashboard β†’ Account β†’ Notifications to toggle these individually:

  • Clips ready notifications: receive an email with thumbnail previews when your clips are ready for download.
  • Ticket email notifications: receive an email when a support team member replies to your ticket.

All other notification types (credits low, purchase confirmed, referral, drops, announcements, promos) are delivered as in-app notifications only.

Support & Tickets

When to open a support ticket

If you encounter a bug, have a billing question, need help with your account, or want to suggest a feature, the ticket system is the best way to reach our team. We aim to respond as quickly as possible.

Creating a ticket

Go to Dashboard β†’ Create Ticket and fill in the form:

  1. Category: choose the one that best matches your issue: Bug Report, Account Issue, Billing, Feature Request, or Other.
  2. Priority: set how urgent your request is: Low, Medium, or High. This helps our team triage effectively.
  3. Subject: a concise summary of your issue (5 to 150 characters).
  4. Message: describe the problem or request in detail (20 to 2,000 characters). The more context you provide, the faster we can help.
  5. Attachment (optional): you can attach a screenshot or document. Accepted formats are PNG, JPG, WEBP, and PDF, up to 10 MB.

After submitting

Once you submit a ticket, two things happen:

  • If you have ticket email notifications enabled, you'll receive a confirmation email with a summary of your ticket (subject, category, priority, and message).
  • Our support team is notified immediately and will begin reviewing your request.

Tracking your tickets

Visit Dashboard β†’ My Tickets to see all your tickets. The page shows three statistic cards at the top (Open, In Progress, Closed) and a list of your tickets sorted by status and date. Each ticket shows:

  • Subject, category label, and priority badge
  • Current status (Open, In Progress, or Closed)
  • Number of replies and whether it has an attachment
  • Date submitted

Ticket conversation

Click on any ticket to open the full conversation thread. Here you can:

  • Read all messages between you and the support team, in chronological order.
  • Reply with additional information or follow-up questions.
  • Attach files to your replies (same format and size limits as the initial ticket).

When a team member replies to your ticket, you'll receive an in-app notification. If ticket email notifications are enabled, you'll also get an email.

Ticket statuses explained

  • Open: your ticket has been received and is waiting for a team member to respond.
  • In Progress: a team member is actively investigating your issue.
  • Closed: the issue has been resolved. If you need to follow up, you can still reply to reopen the conversation.

Account Settings

Accessing account settings

Click on Account in the dashboard sidebar, or navigate to Dashboard β†’ Account. The settings are organized into three tabs: General, Security, and Notifications.

General: profile information

Under the General tab, you can manage your profile:

  • Avatar: upload a profile picture (max 5 MB). The image is automatically cropped to a square and converted to a 256Γ—256 WebP file for optimal performance. You can also remove your avatar to revert to the default.
  • Username (Creator accounts) or Company Name (Business accounts): you can update this at any time. Your username must remain unique across the platform.
  • Email: displayed for reference but cannot be changed from this page. If you need to update your email, contact support.

General: deleting your account

At the bottom of the General tab, you'll find the Delete Account option. This action is permanent and irreversible. To proceed, you must type "delete my account" exactly as shown in the confirmation dialog. Deleting your account will:

  • Remove all your personal data, uploaded videos, and generated clips
  • Forfeit any remaining credits (they cannot be refunded)
  • Cancel any active referral links
  • Close all open support tickets
⚠️ This action cannot be undone. Make sure to download any clips you want to keep before deleting your account.

Security: password

Under the Security tab, you can change your password. Enter your current password, then your new password and its confirmation. The same strength requirements apply: minimum 8 characters, at least one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character.

Security: two-factor authentication

Also under the Security tab, you can enable or disable MFA (two-factor authentication). See the Login & Security section above for detailed instructions.

Notifications: email preferences

The Notifications tab lets you toggle three email notification settings independently:

  • Analysis complete: get an email when the AI finishes processing your video.
  • Clips ready: get an email when your generated clips are available for download.
  • Ticket updates: get an email when a support team member replies to one of your tickets.

These settings only affect email delivery. In-app notifications (bell icon) are always active and cannot be disabled.
